Marina Isabel Guzman Cruz was the beloved owner of Mi Rancho Mexican Restaurant in Groesbeck, Texas, which she founded on August 11, 2003. She was born in La Union, El Salvador, on September 11, 1968, and moved to the U.S. in 1993 to pursue her dreams. After years working in the restaurant business with her family she decided to open her own business. Mi Rancho quickly became a cherished spot in the local community, known for its authentic Mexican cuisine and welcoming atmosphere. Marina was deeply involved in her community and created a family-friendly environment at her restaurant, where customers were treated like extended family.
Marina met her husband, Richard Cruz, in 1982 in El Salvador, and together they raised three children: Dinora, David, and Moises. Sadly, Marina passed away on August 5, 2024, in La Union, El Salvador, at the age of 55. She is remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and her legacy continues through her family and the restaurant she founded.
